"Ringworld Expedition" is a science fiction adventure game based on Larry Niven's Ringworld series. in First Person view  Players will assume the role of the leaders of an expedition tasked by the Puppeteers with exploring and understanding the vast, artificial Ringworld. The game offers an immersive experience filled with awe-inspiring discoveries, political intrigue, and challenges as players navigate through the Ringworld's complex ecosystem and encounter its scripted and procedurally generated inhabitants.The game also features a "daily" turn-based strategy system, allowing players to receive reports and  make decisions and give orders to crew and units that affect their expedition's success or failure. Supplies will be gathered/subtracted, and dailyvevents might occur.

Players must manage their team's resources, including food, water, and fuel, while also maintaining the health and morale of their crew members. They will need to gather information about the Ringworld's ecosystem, learn how to harness its energy sources, and develop strategies to communicate with the inhabitants 

.As players explore the Ringworld, they will encounter numerous puzzling situations and obstacles that require them to employ their knowledge of tactics, science, engineering, and diplomacy. They will need to use their team's diverse skill sets effectively to overcome these challenges. For example, a character with a medical background may be more suited to treating injured crew members, while an engineer could be better at repairing broken equipment or finding alternative energy sources.

In the "Ringworld Expedition" 5-minute demo, players assume a first-person perspective as they step out of their landing shuttle onto the Ringworld surface. Their initial task is to issue orders to their squads, which include two squads of scouts and a squad of scientists. The scouts' primary objective is to secure the area and ensure its safety, while the scientists are tasked with analyzing the surroundings for valuable information about the Ringworld's ecosystem, resources, and potential threats.As players give their squads their orders, they can watch as the scouts fan out to explore the immediate vicinity and the scientists begin their analysis. After a few minutes, one of the scout squads sends a report back to the player, highlighting an area of interest that requires the player's attention and decision-making.In this situation, the player is presented with an interesting choice: they can either send reinforcements to support the scout squad and investigate the area further, potentially uncovering new information or resources; or they can maintain their current course and focus on securing other parts of the Ringworld. This decision will have consequences for the expedition's overall progress and may impact the relationships between the player's squads or their interactions with any encountered alien species.
