A downloadable game for Windows

"40K fangame" somewhere on a generic Imperial World there is a Heretic demagogue hiding.. the Heretic will infect Imperial cities and turn the people away from the Light of the Emperor.. get near the Heretic to detect it, then deploy assets to neutralize the enemy before the entire world rebels..  The player is a "Deacon of the Eccliesiarchy" whose main job is to travel from world to world in a city-sized "cathedral ship" collecting tithes from loyal planets. But.. 


Jan 3.. looking better, lots of errors.. new version.. started to write up a "limited" game doc.. I'll start a new version tomorrow

Jan 1. Fixed a lot of errors with transistioning between worlds.. Player can't leave anyplace yet.. but the plan is to start adding in "warpgates" that the player will use to leave a Planet and travel in the warp. .and within the warp, the player should be able to generate a "random world" based on stuff nearby (like is there is a big ork influence, the random world should reflect that).. so I'm working out how to do that, and adding in "hive cities" and targets for the heretic to attack... 421 megs.. goal is to reduce that down to 300

also thinking about adding in collecting "imperial Tithes" from the other Hive Cities.. I'm still looking for a game designer to help me flesh out some gameplay stuff giving stuff for the Player to do. 



Dec 31, minor touches..  warpspace, and  obscuring the Astronomicon from view.



Dec 29,  Player is now able to start from the Galaxy Map, enter a system, choose a planet and then transition into the "planet scene".. next step is to do the reverse, open a warp gate and leave the area.. (I might go unloreful  here and allow the Player to leave in the "planet scene" as well as the "system scene"...  instead of spending 6 months leaving the system's gravity well)

system and galaxy view are still ugly.. but the work for now, and I can move on to trying to give the Heretic some AI again... (I'm more or an art peson than a coder.. I mention that a lot)


Dec 28, new version, refining stuff.. down to 397 megs... goal is 300

test build, it's ugly and almost works.. 400 megs.. so I plan to reduce that. 

back to spending time on the worlds, and getting that heretic to move around  properly.

Dec 26, reworked the Galaxy map

right now, the Warp and the Galaxy map co-exist, but later, when I learn now, i'll deactivate one and such..  but I have some basic Worlds floating out in Space.. I think I'll make them all owe "Imperial Tithes" as the hook to get the Player to visit the worlds.. 

above, we see these White Streaks, they show how much the "warp currents" have shifte the locations of these worlds in the Warp in 5 years game time.. there's a few nearby warpstorms, so it's a pretty unstable place to be at the moment. .  (I should make them want to return to their start points.. eventually, so if a Warpstorm hurls a world across the galaxy (in the warp), then it will eventually return.. I like that will solve some issues).. worlds move, some may be impossible to reach for years.
